sue bought it for the niece
Buttercup's Mom My 6 year old daughter purchased this with her Toys R Us gift card which she received from her aunt for her birthday. I asked her how many stars to give this pogo stick and she said 7,000. She LOVES it and uses it everyday. Her goal is to get to 100 jumps (she is at 58).The base/platform of this is ingenious! Who knew a pogo stick could have "training wheels"?Instructions are included telling how to remove the base when your child is ready to solo. Also included are directions on oiling the mechanism. Instructions are simple for this; nothing has to be taken apart or anything. However, the pogo stick seems to need to be oiled already (after less than 3 weeks), which was unexpected so soon after we received it. But, again, she does jump on it multiple times every day.Really terrific toy! I would not hesitate to recommend it for ages 5 and up (weight limit is 60 pounds).
Mom on the move My daughter really wanted a pogo stick for her 5th birthday and this was the only one that seemed right. She is still excited about it, but her 40lbs doesn't seem enough to get it going much. She plans to practice, practice, practice but I wonder if she needs to be a little older or a little bigger before she can use it well. I do like that once she gets the hang of it we can take the base off for even more fun.

Mom I bought this product for my oldest daughter when she was five. She loved it!! The training shield on the bottom is a MUST for beginners. Once she mastered it with the shield we took it off. Now my younger daughter uses is it. My oldest daughter is getting a new pogo stick because she loved this one so much (Five years later!)So we got plenty of use out of this one.. Definately worth the money!
bruceandsheri My son just turned 5 yesterday and he wanted a pogo stick with every ounce of his being. We ordered this one for his birthday and it is all that it claims to be minus one big detail... the weight limits. My son is very muscular and weighs over 60 pounds already and the weight limit for this pogo stick is 60 pounds. I am saddened because his highlighted toy for his birthday is not going to be able to be around for long. I spent time researching this for him and no where did I see the weight limitation on anything I read. [...]! I will see what I can do to find one that will work for him. It's a great toy, but too bad I didn't get the full story before I purchased it for him.
Southern mom This is a good idea for younger kids with the removable base but my 46 pound 5 year old doesn't seem quite heavy enough for it. He has a difficult time making it bounce...the "bounce" is very tight. We will keep it and maybe when he gets a little bigger he will be more successful with it.
E My grandson loves this pogo stick. It's easy for him to learn and later, as his skill level increases, we can remove the base and it's a regular pogo stick. Great Idea!
Dizzy Dad Right out of the Box the Kid grabbed it and was bouncing around having a blast.. I do have to say the "Training Wheel" is one of the best Ideas I have ever seen on a kids toy of this type and the Best thing for a Busy Crazy Dad is that there was NO ASSEMBLY REQUIRED Thanks We Loved it
Busy mom We bought this for our daughter's 4th birthday. She had been asking and asking for a pogo stick! This seemed to be the most age appropriate. So far she really likes it but has not mastered balancing yet. I think she'll have to grow into it a bit. So far she loves it but we have to assist her with it.
