Sophie This activity table provides lots of fun and imaginative play and it also keeps my oldest two (now 3 & 5) captivated for an hour or two. We have one rule though, "sand and water does not mix" to be able to keep the water free from debris as much as possible and so the sand pit doesn't become a mud hole. One con is that the sand part doesn't contain a drain. A meshed drain would be optimal and we will try to make one ourselves, so the water can drain away from the sand. The biggest con is that the umbrella doesn't have a stand or something that keeps it from blowing overboard if a wind gust catches it. It has happened several times and the pole has been close to hit one of the children in the process. It doesn't stay in the ground even if we try to jam it down. We are going to drill a hole in the pole and attach a device through it under the table to keep it from being an unsafe feature. The umbrella in itself is providing great shade.

I think the four long screws are a bit of a overkill for attaching the legs. Screwing a metal screw into plastic material feels a bit flimsy. You definitely need a power tool though, a manual Philips screwdriver doesn't cut it, the pre drilled holes aren't so pre drilled so to speak.

It deserves a four star rating though, because of the fun of playing with water and sand, and to do it on a comfortable standing level is a bonus.

Fun in the Sun [...]We have it on our deck in the backyard, and our 2-yr. old absolutely LOVES it! My only complaint is that the colors are very bland/"natural" rather than fun and bright--I just added in my own sand/water toys to play with to add to the colors. The umbrella is awesome--very big and sturdy. My son will have a blast playing with this all summer long.

Jannimac We bought this for our 18 month old granddaughter. She absolutely loves it. It is the perfect height and keeps her entertained. It is sturdy and we appreciate the umbrella that helps keep her shielded from the sun. My niece's children who are 3 and 7 years old came over to play and enjoyed the table as well. Great product and well constructed.

susan The table was a gift for my nephew. He's two years old. I love the umbrella! He'll have many years use from this. My sister said the legs were a bit tough to attach but I wasn't there so I don't know first hand. I wish it had a lock on the lid. Her yard is not fenced in. [...] Thank you!

Cassie's Mom I recently bought this for my 16mo old and she loves it. She literally was kicking & screaming when we took her away from it the first time. I still have to gently redirect her when we are finished playing with this. It is a great sand/water table. Easy to fill/drain the water. The cover doesn't fit perfectly- it kind of sits on top and has openings on both sides (I guess to let air circulate and dry the sand) but it does stay put with the cords. Overall this has been one of the best toys we have ever bought our daughter. It is a little messy- she is usually soaked when she's finished, but it is well worth the outfit changes!

Red I love the fact that we can keep the sand covered when not in use and that there is a drain for the water side. The umbrella is a great for a sunny day. Be sure to take it down in the event of stormy weather.
