BB the grandmother The product got to me in record time. It was immensely easy to assemble and we had it up and running in no time. Our two year old granddaughter loved it so much at her birthday party that we had to hide it behind a bush to get her to open her other presents and blow out her candles. I love this product!

Wakeboarding Mama "Thank you to Step2 for letting me test this item as part of the Step2 toy tester program."

My two daughters have a blast every time we play with this table. There are so many little parts that move that give it endless fun. The perfect size table for 2 MAYBE 3 children. My 5 year old loves playing with it even though she is a little older. I like that they can enjoy water play without having to get soaking wet. Just use beans or rice and this is a fun sensory table too.

This is a FANTASTIC product! My son had a blast playing outside with the Wild Whirlpool Water Table! Children are able to play with water without having to get completely soaked, which is a plus!

We also played with the table indoors by adding in dry beans and sand. It was a great way to include sensory-based play!

FloridaPhil Setup was literally a snap (all of the parts easily "snapped" together) and it took only about 15 minutes. Assembly instructions were detailed and clear pictures (not idealized drawings that are hard to decipher, like some instructions.) Even before the water went in, my 29 month old daughter was already having fun spinning the octopus and organizing the "fish." Then her four year old big brother and I filled it up with 4 gallons of water and the fun really started. The "water vortex" isn't as spectacular as it sounds (it's just a big funnel that spins a water wheel as the water flows into the tub), but the pirate ship scoop allows for pouring at different speeds angles, and the "net" makes some fun to pour the water in before it flows out. The octopus doesn't really create a whirlpool as much as it makes a current in the water to flow the floating fish and toys around the tub. As far as the build goes, everything fits together solidly and fairly sturdy. I didn't observe any leaking from the drain plug. Of course, there's A LOT of splashing, but that's all part of the fun!

Preemie Mom Overall would buy this again because it was the cheapest water table at $40.

Pros:

- my 3.5 year old and 1 year old (and their friends) love playing with the water table

- it's hot in Florida and it is a great distraction to cool off on our small porch

- love the drain

- they play with the scoop and it is always the toy they fight over

Cons:

- wish it had come with a canopy, lid, and two smaller cups with handles and no holes

- the octopus in the middle is pretty much useless and doesn't do much but take up space. I will be removing it because the boat is so large it won't float past the octopus tentacle and that annoys the kids every time and causes contention

- the kids play with the funnel but it kicks out way too much water as it turns the water wheel (really poorly designed). Also wished the funnel snapped into place because it falls out too easily especially when the kids get crowded around it

ahedrick87 I was excited to get this for my girls, as it had lots of fun activities and toys, however, like another reviewer mentioned, this table leaks... BAD. It is not a little leak, but a steady stream coming from the plug. I know for a fact that the plug is installed correctly, as well. It isn't a huge deal, considering this is kept outdoors, but is inconvenient, since the water just drains right out of it. I have to keep a bucket underneath it to catch the water, and then every 5 minutes or so, go dump it back into the table. I think I have an easy fix for it, but I need to drain all the water first, and my daughter is still playing with it for the first time, so I'll see if it works later. I think, however, that putting some plastic wrap over the hole, and then plugging it up will stop, or at least significantly help and slow the amount of water that comes out of it. As far as the product is concerned, is really like it, it's just faulty, unfortunately. :/

RealtorMom I was excited to get this for my son. It said that it could be used for both sand and water, which made it a great value. Not that the others couldnt be, also. I decided on this item because it looked like it had the most features for the price. It was easy to assemble, it is relatively sturdy if placed on level ground, yet my biggest complaint is that the other little toys that are intended to(I'm assuming here) snap to the table DO NOT. They come off very easily. In fact, my one year old has to simply nudge the table and they fall off. I'm not impressed at all. My decision to purchase this item weighed heavily on the fact there were additional features and for this reason I am giving this rating 2 stars. Should have stuck with the Little Tykes Brand. We will still use it, but not as a water table which is what I truly was intending to use it for.

Claire I have a 3 and 5 year old who love this thing. It keeps them occupied and is big enough for both to play around it. The material looks durable enough to last until my four month old baby can use it in a year or so.

The octopus doesn't swirl the water around enough, but it hasn't phased my boys.

The water mill part makes half of the water fall out of the table, and half fall into the table. Not sure if this is a positive or negative since my boys just occupy their time catching the water with a pail and putting it back into the table. Personally, I would think it would be annoying, but it's a toy for kids so who cares as long as they are having fun.

Cathy My 18 month old has loved using this so far. She likes to play with the net and pour water out or catch the turtles with it. She also likes to tip the boat over from filling it with water. I wish it had maybe a little bit more interactive play because I could see her growing bored with it as she gets a little older.

Luckily we read other reviews that suggested using pliers to get the plug installed all the way. That would have been frustrating otherwise. I'm not sure why that doesn't come already in there.
