Gary the Grandpa Backyard use.

Soon to be Auntie The Little Tikes Turtle was a staple growing up all of my friends and family have a story or memory of playing with the colorful sand you can incase inside or on a hot day filling it up with water as a kiddie pool! The Turtle I loved for they revamped its look to be a sea turtle! The only quam I had was that the lid an entirely different green and looked extremely sun bleached! Which was alright on account I planned on customizing it for my niece and hit it with a little scuff pad then sprayed the dots on his legs lime green and then every other dot on the shell hot pink! It looks amazing, I must note though I did use an extremely ridiculous amount of painters tape taping off all the little details.

florida mom My son is almost 3 and loves this sandbox. The salesperson tried to tell me it would probably be too small for him, as it is the smallest one they sell, but my son was dead set on the turtle so I bought it anyway. Sometimes he sits outside of it but he can also sit in it with a few of his bulldozers and trucks in it as well. He can easily spend over an hour in it each time he uses it.

The top does not fit on tightly but it does fit well and has kept the sand dry through some pretty heavy rains.

We used 3 (50 lb) bags of play sand from a home supply store to fill it.

Over all, very good product, especially for the price.

Gaia024 My mother got this for my daughter who is 14 months old. My daughter is a little hard to read sometimes, but I'm pretty sure she likes it. On hot days I like to turn the shell cover upside-down and pour some water into it for a little splash pool, I know my daughter likes that! It is big enough that a couple of small kids would have plenty of room to play. I am impressed by the strength of the plastic that the turtle is made from. Some workers had to move it the other day and they picked it up, full of close to 200lbs of sand and even though the plastic bent, it didn't break and held it's shape well. The only thing I would change would be to add a way to secure the lid when not in use so it won't blow away in the wind. A rock works, but it makes the lid dent in and it collects water. My daughter also loves the big box that it came in.

Grammy I purchased this same item for my children who are now 29 and 32. I went searching for this item for my granddaughter and found it at your store. As happy as I was to find it, I feel the quality is much less than the one I first purchased. Lid seems more flimsy.

Disappointed Grandma A tree fell on our old turtle during Sandy and cracked the top:( The style has changed and I can't replace the top:`(

Bought a new one and found flimsy sides that collapse under the weight of a child older than a toddler and a top that can't support our dog's weight when he plays in the yard. Not up to the quality we expected from Little Tikes.

Our old, now eyeless, green turtle was a playtime attraction for all five of my children, drawing kids of all ages from the neighborhood as well, for over thirty years. Four of my grandchildren have now played in it and loved it and I have purchased one (thankfully old style) for each family's home.

Sandboxes will always be great fun but this one lacks the quality and strength of the old one. Will return new one and make do with the cracked top.

MamaB My kids are enjoying hours of fun playing in the sand. The material is a bit lower quality than the exact same product I had in the past. The sandbox doesn't have a drain either, which it did have in the pat. All in all I say you're getting what you paid for.

Not bad.

Herself This is exactly what I wanted for my 18 month old. It's not a huge sandbox, but I wanted something for our patio since we don't have a grassy area for it. He has plenty of room to sit & play, but it's also large enough for a friend to come play too. He has loved having his own sandbox & I love just being able to step out back with him instead of loading up to go to the park. Plus, the turtle's face gives me a smile every time I see it!

It says it can take up to 4 bags of sand, but I only used 2 so there was plenty of room for toys. I prefer to leave the toys in the box so it's all contained. The cover has stayed on well, & the sand stayed dry through 3 days of rain.
